Threatened & Endangered Species

Threatened and Endangered Species Survey

Envise conducts thorough Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys to identify the presence of federally listed species and their habitats on your project site. Our team of expert biologists utilizes a combination of site visits, and literature reviews to evaluate species distribution, habitat suitability, and potential impacts. These surveys are essential for ensuring compliance with the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and informing project planning.

Section 7 Consultation

Under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), federal actions that may impact threatened or endangered species or their habitats require consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) or National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Envise assists clients by conducting biological assessments (BAs) and biological evaluations (BEs) to analyze potential impacts to listed species. We coordinate the consultation process, ensuring compliance with the ESA and working to develop mitigation measures that protect species and their habitats.

Take Permits

For projects that may inadvertently harm threatened or endangered species, Envise helps clients obtain Section 10 Incidental Take Permits. This includes developing Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs), coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring the implementation of mitigation measures. We guide clients through the process of securing permits from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) or National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), ensuring compliance with federal regulations while minimizing project delays and environmental impacts.
